Experiences, activities, and spaces for everyone in Vitoria
Yoga and mindfulness from its rooftop with panoramic views; tours; gastronomic experiences; and sustainable activities are some of the free and accessible offerings for the public
Kora Green City, the flex living accommodation located in Plaza del Renacimiento, next to Iradier Arena, invites all residents of Vitoria to discover the experiences and activities taking place at Europe’s largest passive house accommodation and one of the most efficient in the world.
From now on, every corner of this unique space will transform into a stage for unforgettable experiences that were previously only available to its guests and are now open to the entire capital of Álava. “We want to be part of the city’s agenda, enriching the social and cultural fabric of Vitoria. We invite everyone to try our activities, most of which are free and others with very accessible prices,” says Borja Cuesta, General Manager of Kora Green City.
A wide range of experiences for all tastes
From workshops and cultural, sports, or gastronomic talks; concerts; dance meetups and jazz festivals; to sessions focused on physical and mental well-being, the offerings are as diverse as they are attractive. You can check out their local experiences calendar here or visit their website to see the detailed list of activities, where you can reserve your spot.
In addition, Kora Green City also participates in and hosts events on the Vitoria agenda. This includes collaborations like Sua Basque Fusion, the Kora Jazz Up festival with Ondas de Jazz, the Ironman sporting event in Vitoria-Gasteiz as the official accommodation, Poets in May, and Ardoaraba, among others.
As a new initiative, this month they launched a new educational experience, ‘The Green Experience,’ which is an interactive guided tour of the building to understand the workings of its passivhaus construction, the use of renewable energy, and other smart technologies that have enabled Kora Green City to achieve a 76% energy savings compared to a conventional building. This initiative has an educational focus, allowing not only visitors but also educational centers, schools, and universities to access practical cases related to sustainability.
A space to share and grow. KGC is seeking proposals
This accommodation becomes a meeting point for the community, offering open and flexible spaces for people to share their knowledge and bring new projects to life. If you have an interesting proposal, Kora Green City provides the opportunity to connect with others and create synergies.
“Do you need a space for a workshop, a talk, a showcooking session, or perhaps to teach Chinese or Basque to foreigners? Maybe a space to recreate a micro-theater? No problem; if the initiative aligns with our philosophy, we are happy to help,” states Cuesta. Kora Green City has already hosted swing dance sessions with live music and a series of talks on sports nutrition with Ignacio Escribano, nutritionist for the Baskonia Sports Club. “We want to blur the line between living and traveling, allowing local culture to coexist with that of travelers,” he concludes.
